Recruitment for the post of Professor under the scheme of Ministry of Steel Chair Professor, Ministry of Steel, Government of India in National Institute of Technology Durgapur, Durgapur

Applications are invited for the following post:

Post: Ministry of Steel Chair Professor

Qualification and Experience: Applicants must have PhD degree with first class in Bachelor’s and Master’s level in Metallurgical Engineering and a minimum of 20 years experience (teaching/industrial) in Ferrous Metallurgy. Applicant having long exposure in postgraduate teaching and guiding PhD thesis will be preferred.

Areas of Specialization: Iron and Steel making, Foundry practices, Pyrometallurgy of minerals, Mineral dressing, Thermodynamics and Physical Metallurgy of Iron and Steel, welding, machining, etc.

Age Limit: As per AICTE norms.

Salary: Consolidated amount, to be fixed based on guidelines from Ministry of Steel/MHRD, G.O.I. and 6th Pay commission of G.O.I.
