Undergraduate course is one of the main educational programs that help school leavers to lay foundation for their successful career in their chosen area of interest. These programs complete in the time span of three to four years and awards an academic degree to the meritorious students. Here we have jotted down some of the scholarships for the students who are searching scholarships while pursuing their undergraduate studies. 1. Scholarship Program: POCE/POBE Scholarship Programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore

Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: These programmes, conducted in summer for 6-8 weeks (~ mid May to July), are aimed at infusing creativity and scientific temper into undergraduates, and involve lectures, laboratory projects and research work. Selected students are expected to work at the Centre for three consecutive summers, and will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 6000 per month during their period of stay at the Centre. Upon successful completion of the programme, the students will receive a Diploma in Chemistry or Biology from the Centre. Those who complete the POCE/POBE programme with outstanding performance will be eligible for admission to the MSPhD programme in the Centre subject to satisfactory performance in the interview.

2. Scholarship Program: Muslim Nadar Scholarship
Employer: Department of Collegiate Education Kerala
Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: Girls students belonging to OBC communities and girl students belonging to BPL families of forward casts can apply. 50% marks in qualifying exam. Income limit Rs. 18,000/- per year.

3. Scholarship program: The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships

Level of Study: Undergraduate and Graduate, Vocational Studies
Brief Scholarship Description: The Ambassadorial Scholarships program promotes international understanding and friendly relations among people of different parts of the world.

4. Scholarship program: Reach Oxford Scholarships
Employer: University of Oxford
Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: A number of Oxford colleges offer Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) to students from developing countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

5. Scholarship Program: Global Undergraduate Exchange Program
Employer: Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State
Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (also known as the Global UGRAD Program) provides one semester and academic year scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from underrepresented sectors in East Asia, Eurasia and Central Asia, the Near East and South Asia and the Western Hemisphere for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, internships and cultural enrichment.

6. Scholarship Program: SC/ST Scholarship for Courses at Pride Institute, Jaysingpur

7. Scholarship Program: 2012-2013 Near East & South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program
Employer: A program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs U.S. Department of State
Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: The Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program, NESA UGRAD, is a part of GLOBAL UGRAD, a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State. NESA UGRAD will award scholarships to outstanding students from countries of the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia for one-year of undergraduate, non-degree studies programs in the United States at a diverse network of accredited two- and four-year institutions. Participants will be enrolled full-time and will live on-campus with an American roommate. Participants will not select host institutions and placements will not be changed. Possible fields of study include, but are not limited to, the humanities, arts, social sciences, mathematical science, natural and physical sciences and applied science.

8. Scholarship Program: Muslim Girls Scholarship (Paloli Committee Scholarship) – DCE Scholarship Kerela, India
Employer:  The Government of Kerala
Level of Study: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Higher courses
Brief Scholarship Description: The Government of Kerala has introduced various scholarships awarded to meritorious students of outstanding performance in the education sector as well as to the students of socially and economically backward categories. The Higher Education Department of Government of Kerala is entrusted with the responsibility of selection and disbursement of various scholarships to Higher Secondary, under Graduate and Post Graduate Streams. This project envisages the development and implementation of a web-enabled scholarship management system to facilitate the Directorate of Collegiate education for an efficient, foolproof system for the selection of the students and also do the disbursements. The System also facilitates the students, various educational institutions and the Scholarship Department to update and monitor the selection and disbursement process.

9. Scholarship Program: Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for Undergraduate or Postgraduate Students: DCE Scholarships, Kerala

Brief Scholarship Description: The Government of Kerala has introduced various scholarships awarded to meritorious students of outstanding performance in the education sector as well as to the students of socially and economically backward categories. 10. Scholarship Program: Manmohan Singh Undergraduate Scholarships for applicants from India
Employer: University of Cambridge
Level of Study: Undergraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: Applicants to the University from India may be eligible to apply for a Manmohan Singh Undergraduate Scholarship. The new scholarships named in honour of India’s Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, himself an alumnus of the University, have been made possible thanks to an endowment created by generous benefactions from the UK and India. The scholarships, to be held at the University of Cambridge, are for school-leavers from India who meet the usual examination qualifications for admission to Cambridge. Applicants for all courses except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine are eligible to apply.

11. Scholarship Program: FedBank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships 2012
Employer: FedBank
Level of Study: Undergraduate, Postgraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: Ten students in each discipline, of which one seat will be kept aside for a physically challenged student (duly evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank), will be reimbursed 100% of the tuition fees as per the fee structure for seats allotted in the Government quota in Govt., Aided and Self-financing colleges, subject to a maximum of Rs. 75,000/- in a year up to the normal completion of course. If there are no sufficient applicants in the ‘physically challenged’ category, then cases of less than 40% also will be considered. Any disruption on account of any kind of failure will make the student ineligible for scholarships. If applications are not received from eligible candidates under ‘physically challenged’, it will be utilized under general category.
