Resume plays a very important role in the process of searching jobs. It helps in creating an image in the mind of the employer. A good resume can get you an opportunity of facing an Interview.

In order to have a winning situation, your resume should be competitive enough. It should be able to attract the employers from between the pile of resumes.

While designing such resumes following points should be kept in mind

A resume gives your impression to the employer. Today job market is competitive enough.  Employers have no time to go through the full resumes. So, a resume should have an appropriate career objective or the headlines of your career that can directly convey your aptness towards the job. Further, your career objective should be flexible enough that it should fit the requirement of the job, whenever you go for interview.

Your resume shouldn’t be too lengthy because employers have no time to go through complete resumes. Correct information should be given regarding your qualifications and other certifications. Your resume should be in a well organised manner in order to ensure that you know the contents of the resume. Give brief information regarding your job experiences and trainings .It can provide you advantage over others. You should focus on points that fulfill job requirements.

Before going for the interview, try to customize your resume according to job description. High light the skill sets and your experiences which can provide you a competitive edge for that particular job.

While specifying your strengths, be prepared with practical examples. On the other hand, be cautious while expressing your weaknesses. It should be genuine and tell confidently, how you are trying to overcome it.

Also do mention awards and special recognitions you have won. Such awards and recognitions always put positive impact on the resumes. But try not to speak too much about them, if they are out of context.

Use good quality stationary for the resume. Fonts should be legible and seems to be professional. Resume should be in proper format and should not look crowded.

Last but not the least; your resume should be free from grammatical mistakes. An error free resume will show your perfectionism and your responsible behaviour.

A good resume always attract employers. Once your resume is short listed, half battle is already won and another half depends on how you justify your resume confidently during the interview.
