4. Scholarship Program: Margdarshi Fellowships for Researchers in India

5. Scholarship Program: Fellowships at the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics
Employer: Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology

Brief Scholarship Description: These fellowships promote the goals of the Institute and to facilitate re-entry of scientists of Indian origin working abroad. Each awardee will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 75,000 per month and a contingency grant (not exceeding Rs. 500,000 per annum) linked to a project to be proposed by the applicant at the time of application.

6. Scholarship Program: Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship

Brief Scholarship Description: The Department of Biotechnology has instituted a scheme known as “Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship” for Indian Nationals who are working overseas in various fields of biotechnology and life sciences and are interested in taking up scientific research positions in India. Ramalingaswami Re-entry fellows would be able to work in any of the scientific institutions/universities in the country and would also be eligible for regular research grant through extramural and other research schemes of various S&T agencies of the Government of India.
