1. Scholarship Program: 2012 TCS Research Fellowship at DA-IICT, India

Brief Scholarship Description: This prestigious fellowship provides substantial financial and other benefits to full-time students pursuing a PhD program in selected areas. Period: For a maximum of four years or submission of thesis for PhD, whichever is earlier. Stipend: Rs. 18,000 per month for the first two years and Rs.20,000 per month for the next two years.

2. Scholarship Program: Tibetan Scholarship Program for India, Nepal and Bhutan Applicants
Employer: The US Department of State’s, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs

Brief Scholarship Description: The Department of Education CTA, Dharamsala and The Tibet Fund are pleased to re-announce the 2013 Tibetan Scholarship Program (TSP), funded by the US Department of State’s, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through The Tibet Fund, for eligible Tibetan refugees residing in India, Nepal and Bhutan. This announcement is a revised version of the scholarship announcement published by The Tibet Fund in October 2011. Applications are being accepted for two-year Master Degree program in the United States, pending the availability of funds.

3. Scholarship Program: Felix Scholarship for Students from Developing Countries, UK

Brief Scholarship Description: The Felix Scholarship was founded to offer gifted underprivileged students from India and certain other developing countries the opportunity of furthering their postgraduate education by attending a university in the UK. The primary objective of the Felix Scholarship is to stimulate the Felix scholars by exposing them to academic study, cultures, experiences and friendships that they would not otherwise have had the chance to sample.

4. Scholarship Program: 2012 Newcastle University India Postgraduate Scholarships, UK

Brief Scholarship Description: The International Office is delighted to announce 10 Newcastle University Indian Scholarship (NUIS PG) awards. These are available for high achieving Indian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree programmes within the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), Medical Sciences (FMS) and the Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) commencing their studies in September 2012. Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

5. Scholarship Program: 2012 PhD Programme at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India

7. Scholarship Program: IISER-K Summer Student Research Programme 2012
Employer:  IISER
Level of Study: Research
Brief Scholarship Description: To provide B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech. and B.E. students of other institutions or universities an opportunity of exposure to a research environment by associating them with one of the research groups of IISER during the summer vacation. The programme will be operative during the summer vacation of the IISER-K from 14th May to 14th July, 2012. Each summer student will be formally associated with a faculty member of the Institute for a duration of 6 – 8 weeks within the above mentioned dates. Accommodation may be provided subject to availability. Access to computational and library facilities will be permitted. However, any misuse of the facilities will result in summary termination of the student from the programme. A certificate will be given at the end of the programme. Students having KVPY/INSPIRE fellowship, and those selected under the Indian Academy of Sciences summer fellowship programme will receive financial support from the respective sponsoring organization. Students selected for the IISER-K summer fellowship programme without such financial support will be given a stipend of Rs. 3000/- per month.

8. Scholarship Program: Postgraduate Scholarships for Indian Students at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland 2012

Level of Study: Postgraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: The university’s Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is offering five scholarships in its taught postgraduate courses, valued at €3,000 each for one year. The Faculty of Health Sciences is also offering five scholarships in its taught postgraduate courses valued at €3,000 for one year. The Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Science is offering four scholarships in its taught postgraduate courses valued at €3,000 for one year. Additionally, two postgraduate research scholarships valued at €6,000 per year are being offered for three years for full-time study on a PhD programme. The scholarships can be for postgraduate research in any discipline of the faculty provided the supervision expertise is available.

9. Scholarship Program: Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)
Employer: Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
Level of Study: Masters, PhD
Brief Scholarship Description: The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are designed to promote capacity building within organisations in 61 countries by providing training and education to mid-career staff. The NFP is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation. These fellowships are available for a selected number of master’s degree programmes, short courses and PhD Studies.

10. Scholarship Program: Inlaks Scholarships
Employer: Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation
Level of Study: PhD
Brief Scholarship Description: Inlaks Scholarships provide the opportunity to young people with exceptional talent in any field to broaden their vision abroad and improve their skills to operate in society, thus making them a future vehicle of change in their environment. Scholarships are granted for up to 2 years at top American, European and UK institutions, for funding requirements including tuition fees, up to a maximum of $85,000 or equivalent. The Foundation does not give scholarships in the following subjects: Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning, Business Studies, Medicine, Public Health, Indian Studies and Indian History, Fashion Design, Music and Film Animation. However in the case of Imperial College London scholarships will be given for Engineering and Computer Science.
