Are You Searching For The Perfect Job

After a deep recession, employment situation has been improved to a great extent. Whole scene has been changed now. But something which was and is prevalent too, in the organizations is job dissatisfaction. Due to which switching rate has increased a lot. It is not confined to a particular group of employees, but employees of every age and level are finding job dis-satisfactory. There could be any reason behind it but an employee should look at the holistic view .You may have a strong desire to leave your job and opt for new one but we need to calculate the benefits in the long run Therefore , before leaving a job or going for new one, we should try to judge following parameters:

Money is the basic requirement for which we do a job. Although its not a part of basic necessities of life but unfortunately in order to have them, we need to have money. Now a days, it is not just a matter of fulfilling basic necessities but employees do look  for additions  along with salaries. Moreover, responsibility also increases when others are also dependent on you. Therefore, benefits like health insurance or retirement benefits will definitely help in making life a bit easier.

Secondly, even if your job is not perfect or not according to your dream job, but one should better manipulate the learning from the job before leaving that particular job. Such experience might be beneficial in the long run and provide you more satisfactory position in the future.

Before quitting a job, do check the career opportunities in your present company. Such advancement opportunities might provide you a satisfying options which you may not get in the new organization where you will join a fresh candidate.

Do have valid expectation about your career. Expecting too much from your organization may lead you to disappointment. Analyze your responsibilities, skills required , your position etc to form realistic expectations.

Before changing the job, do check is there something which you could change in yourself. Many times some internal parameters like your attitude, behavior, working style , your approach etc play an important role in making you fit for a job. Lacking in these areas actually increases stress and give mental dissatisfaction

Last but not the least, once you switch the job, there are chances that you start finding your new job dissatisfactory soon. So, whether you are in your present job or in a new job, try to give some time to yourself and to your work environment in order to make an intelligent decision. Its true that many times organizations take their employees for granted but on the other hand, employees also should try to have realistic view and approach about their career.
